I am a proud adoptee, a wife and a mother. I am a queer-affirming and trans-competent provider who welcomes clients of all identities and cultural/ethnic backgrounds. I take joy in making my office a welcoming space for all people.

I bring a blend of optimism, energy and expertise to helping you resolve relationship and life predicaments. My style is active, warm, humorous and grounded in present-moment awareness. Though some of my work is exploratory and analytical, I am primarily a communication coach and choreographer that helps people make immediate changes in their patterns. I demonstrate advocacy for my clients through engaged presence and attentive facilitation. It is of utmost importance to me that we have a treatment roadmap together and check on our progress frequently.

My therapy approach is guided by the integration of attachment theory, experiential therapies (Virginia Satir, Carl Whitaker), Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT, Sue Johnson), solution-focused brief therapist (de Shazer and Berg) and interpersonal neurobiology (Lou Cozolino, Dan Siegel).

My Background:

I’ve been treating therapy clients since 2017. Before that, I taught interpersonal conflict resolution courses at the University of Oregon through the School of Law’s Conflict and Dispute Resolution program. I have a professional background in community and workplace mediation, and supervised restorative justice peer court program for middle and high schoolers in Lane County, Oregon. I also love supporting clients with their educational and career paths.

I hold masters degrees in Couples & Family Therapy (2018) and Conflict & Dispute Resolution (2011). My therapy internships took place in the community mental health clinics of Centro Latino Americano in Eugene, OR and Options Counseling (Youth and Family Services) in Portland, OR, and with couples and families at Awakened Heart PDX in Portland, OR.
